Front Office + Registered Dental Assistant
I was born in West Texas, moved to California in 1962. In 1970 my family moved to Lompoc where I graduated high school. I am #8 in a large family of 10 children with 4 boys and 6 girls from the same parents.
I started my career in dentistry in 1972, working with several dentist offices. I am a Registered Dental Assistant and have worked both front and back positions for the past 15 years. In January 2019, I celebrated 30 years at my current office. I’ve always enjoyed working in dentistry because it gives one a sense of accomplishment by seeing how our work helps our patients become healthier, and happier with their appearance. I enjoy learning more about the dental industry and at Ocean Dental we stay up to date with new procedures, through our continuing education. I enjoy working with my team members to provide our patients with the best of care.

Hello my name is Melissa Garife, I have worked front office at Ocean Dental since August of 2018. I am a registered dental assistant and have been in the dental field for 22 years, I love being in the dental world and helping our community. Being a part of Dr. Dahlquist team has been a great experience; I am still learning every day and enjoy the new technology that our office provides.
I was born and raised in Lompoc, only left for a few years. I am married to my best friend we love camping, spending days at the beach and playing board/card games with our friends and family. I am also a mom, my amazing daughter is currently away in college and will graduate this winter. If I could be anywhere at this moment I would be in Maui!

I’m eager to discuss your overall oral health and will genuinely enjoy guiding you through a satisfying dental appointment. I’m proud of my roots growing up in Oregon, but after moving to Lompoc 15 years ago I realized this is the perfect place to live and do what I love! Outside of the office I enjoy live music with my husband and spending time with family and our beloved senior dog. With enthusiasm, I look forward to taking care of you and your smile for many years to come.

Hi everyone, I’m Autumn, and I am a Registered Dental Assistant. I have been a Registered Dental Assistant for 18 years. I’ve been a part of Dr. Dahlquist’s team here at Ocean Dental for roughly three years now and have been at this location for over 11 years now with the previous Dr. I strive to ensure patients have the best possible dental experience. A little more about myself outside of the dental field, I am married and have two amazing kids. I enjoy watching my kids play sports, and going on bike rides and beach days with my family and friends. Thank you and welcome to Ocean Dental!
